Thanks to everyone who made Genome Atlantic's Test Your G(ene)Q Challenge such a big success!

Over 1600 students from all four Atlantic provinces participated in the quiz, testing their knowledge of all things genes. One student from each province who answered the quiz correctly was randomly drawn from all of the entries.

The winners of the top prize of $500 cash were:

New Brunswick - Kate Hawkins, Fredericton High School

Newfoundland and Labrador - Jared Petten, Amalgamated Academy

Nova Scotia - Liam Murphy, Cornwallis Junior High

Prince Edward Island - Jillian Bulger, Hernewood Intermediate

Although the contest is now closed, the quiz is still available to anyone who wants to test their knowledge of genes, genetics and genomics.
